Emperor’s Challenge Pai Gow Progressive

Emperor’s Challenge Progressive is an exciting variation of Pai Gow Poker played with a 52-card deck plus one Joker. The Joker acts as a wild card, used as an Ace or to complete a straight or flush.

Players are dealt seven cards and must divide them into two hands:

  • A five-card high hand

  • A two-card low hand

To win, both hands must beat the dealer’s corresponding hands.

Main Game Rules

  • The low hand must be lower in rank than the high hand.

  • If only one hand wins, the result is a push.

  • If both hands lose, the player loses the wager.

  • Standard Pai Gow Poker hand rankings apply.

Optional Bonus Wagers

Pai Gow Insurance
Pays based on the strength of the player’s seven-card hand, regardless of how the hands are set or the outcome against the dealer.

Emperor’s Treasure

Both bonus wagers are independent of the base game outcome.

Progressive Jackpot

  • The Progressive pays based on premium seven-card poker hands.

  • Jackpot amounts and qualifying hands are displayed at the table.
